Digital Art
We live in a century of speed, a century that is dominated by technology and innovation. Everything becomes, on a daily basis, more and more computerized and digital. The first thing you do in the morning when you drink your coffee or when you arrive to work is reading your e-mail. This is the concept of digital media. The newspaper is no longer bought from the corner shop, but read online. In these conditions, some traditional values begin to lose their relevance and importance as we try to simplify our lives. This is not entirely bad as the evolution of new forms of technology began to grow. Among all the areas in which computers and technology becomes more and more important it comes art.
A new form of art that changes the balance and perfection of the classical one develops rapidly, the digital art, the modern art. It is now much easier to see the photos you make, almost instantly, by connecting to a computer and downloading the pictures taken and with the appropriate software you create your personalized 3d wallpapers for your desktop. The visual digital art is the best well known branch of digital art. A great example of computer-generated graphics and special effects is the famous “Lord of the Rings” for which more than 30% of the scenes were made artificially after being initially shot in a studio.
Digital text or audio and video recordings are not included in the concept of digital art, but can be part of a larger project after processing them with the right software programs. Photo art is the most common and experimented area of digital art in general. Digital artists such as illustrators, designers, graphic artists, 3D modelers and even painters are able to create stunning images that are impossible in traditional methods.
